Graham Kill
Chief Executive Officer
Graham Kill joined Irdeto as chief financial officer and operations director in 1995. He became chief executive officer of Irdeto in 1998. Prior to joining Irdeto, Graham worked for the FilmNet Group (later NetHold) in corporate finance and business development focused on European pay TV business development initiatives, various acquisitions and financing transactions. Prior to that, Graham held management positions at USC, British Gypsum and the British Coal Corporation.
Graham holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and an engineering degree from the University of Nottingham. He is a registered European Engineer, a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Director and Fellow of the Institute of Directors. Graham has lived in the UK, Canada, Italy, Netherlands and China.
Andrew Wajs
Chief Technology Officer
Andrew Wajs started within the Telecommunications industry where he developed products that include optical receiver and transmission systems, adaptive signal processing for fault location and audio distribution systems before moving into the security field. He joined Irdeto in where he architected the world?s first DVB Conditional Access system. Subsequent to this he has been the force behind many startup projects within Irdeto ranging from secure music distribution, session based watermarking for video and audio content, the world?s first pay satellite mobile TV solution in Korea and software based security solutions for digital content. Andrew has also had firsthand experience in engaging piracy in the field. Andrew has authored over 30 patents in the field of security and has published papers on topics such as Cloud Security. He has held a range of positions ranging from engineering, system engineering, VP Product Line Management and is now the Chief Technology Officer of Irdeto. Andrew holds a Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. He has also completed a Diploma in Company Direction with the London Institute of Directors.
Ben Bennett
SVP of Sales and Marketing, Online
Prior to joining Irdeto, Ben worked extensively in the digital TV, interactive media/entertainment and mobile telecoms sectors in a number of countries worldwide, most recently in a consultative role as President and Advisor to the Board of Equilibrium. He joined Equilibrium from OpenTV where he was CEO and led the company to its first year of profitability before taking OpenTV private (from NASDAQ) by merging with its parent company. Before becoming CEO, Ben also held the roles of Managing Director of OpenTV's European operations and Senior Vice President of World Wide Professional Services and Consulting where he was responsible for sales and customer deployments in over 30 countries worldwide.
Prior to his time at OpenTV, Ben held management positions at Spyglass (Chicago, USA), Logica (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) and British Telecom (London, UK). Ben holds an Honors Degree in Engineering Science and Technology from Loughborough University of Technology in England and currently resides in San Francisco, USA.
Bengt Jonsson
VP APAC
Bengt Jonsson joined Irdeto as Vice President Sales, Asia Pacific in July 2008. He is responsible for the sales operation in six regions, China, Japan, North Asia, South Asia, South East Asia, and Australia/New Zealand.
Prior to joining Irdeto, Bengt was CEO of LyngBox Media AB, a Swedish hybrid set-top box start-up. He has also held senior management positions with Thomson's Client Device business unit in Asia and with Nokia's multimedia business units in Asia and Europe.
Bengt holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linkoping University in Sweden and Cranfield Institute of Technology in the UK.
Doug Lowther
EVP Digital TV
Doug Lowther joined Irdeto in 2004. Prior to that, Doug was an independent consultant and strategy advisor. Doug's previous roles include several executive positions with Nortel Networks, where he held roles as VP and GM, wireless applications, and VP, strategic marketing.
Doug has led product development teams in wireless data, GSM access, switching, and intelligent networks. He started his career building network planning and operations systems for telecom operators. Having lived and worked in Canada, France, Singapore, Switzerland, and the Netherlands he has a global perspective. He holds an executive MBA from IMD International in Lausanne, Switzerland, and holds a computer science degree from the University of Manitoba.
Stuart Rosove
VP Corporate and Online Marketing
Stuart Rosove is VP of Corporate and Online Marketing, Irdeto and has more than
18 years of experience in technology management and market development. Rosove was formerly the CEO of BayTSP (acquired by Irdeto) where he was responsible for growth initiatives including strategic partner development and expansion.
Prior to joining BayTSP, Rosove was VP, Media & Entertainment at Digimarc where he was responsible for Intellectual Property Licensing, market development and strategic partnership development. In that role, he worked closely with Digimarc Licensees, and various stakeholders in the Digital Media delivery ecosystem to promote the adoption of digital watermarking for managing, protecting and enhancing digital content. Rosove was also responsible for the joint venture between Digimarc and the Nielsen Company which was announced in 2009. Prior to joining Digimarc, Rosove was president and CEO of Activated Content Corp., a leading supplier of digital watermarking solutions to the music industry. Rosove was also CEO of AudioTrack Watermark Solutions and founder and CEO of Sequel Technology Corp. He has held senior management positions at Delrina and QNX Software. Rosove has completed the Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Manitoba in Canada.
Jan Steenkamp
VP Americas
Jan Steenkamp is a founding member of Irdeto and an expert in media. Jan studied electrical engineering at Witwatersrand Technikon and started his career as a video engineer at the South Africa Broadcasting Corporation.
Having held key management positions within the Naspers Group since 1985, Jan most recently served as CEO of Entriq. Before joining Entriq, Jan was CEO of MIHL's technology division and Chairman of OpenTV Corp. Prior to that, he was CEO of OpenTV.
Jan has been a prominent voice in the TV Everywhere movement, authoring several papers on the challenges and opportunities of its implementation and speaking on panels at top industry conferences.
Before moving to the United States to run OpenTV, Jan was one of the founders of Irdeto in the Netherlands where he was the Commercial Director of Irdeto Consultants. During this time he held various management and new business initiative positions at both Irdeto and the MIH Group from 1985 to 1997.
Before moving to the Netherlands to start Irdeto, Jan was part of the pioneer team at the Nasper Group who started the first Pay Television service in South Africa.
Giovani Henrique
Country Manager, Latin America and The Caribbean
Giovani Henrique is the Country Manager for Latin America at Irdeto, a global software security and media technology company. With more than 19 years of experience information technology, engineering and telecommunication he joined Irdeto in 2004 as Sales Director for Latin America and Caribbean markets, later assuming his current position of Country Manager in 2007. Giovani began his career at Embraer Brazil, Equant Network Services and MetroRED Telecommunications in Brazil. Prior to joining Irdeto, he was a Sales Manager for Telecommunication and Markets at Hughes Network Systems. He holds an MBA degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FVG) Brazil, a degree in Marketing and Business Specialization from Kellogg University USA and a degree in Electrical Engineering from UNITAU Brazil.
Martyn Reeves
Regional Director APAC, Irdeto Broadband
With over 25 years of experience in the digital media, technology and software space, Martyn Reeves specializes in products and services which shape the evolution of broadband and broadcast entertainment models. Martyn currently oversees sales and strategy for Irdeto’s Broadband solutions across Asia-Pac. Martyn joined Irdeto from Entriq where he was Regional Sales Director. Entriq was a pay media company focused on emerging broadband markets that was later merged with Irdeto. Martyn has also held executive sales and marketing positions at Maven Networks, SPSS, Netgenesis and Progress Software. He is a graduate of The University of Bradford.
Christopher Schouten
Senior Director of Solutions Marketing
Christopher Schouten is Senior Director of Solutions Marketing at Irdeto, a global software security and media technology company. He joined the company in 2001 and has held various positions in Marketing and Product Management, and is a specialist in Digital TV and digital media technologies, especially related to content security and user experience. Prior to joining Irdeto, he held various positions in fixed and mobile telecommunications in The Netherlands and the United States. He has a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Iowa, where he graduated with honors. In his spare time, Christopher is an avid digital media technology enthusiast.
