GET Chooses Irdeto Customer Care and Billing Solution

Irdeto Supports GET Initiative to Attract and Retain Triple Play Cable TV Customers

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands— 25th August 2010 — Irdeto, the global leader in securing and delivering premium content and digital assets, today announced that Norwegian cable operator GET has implemented its robust customer care and billing solution for Pay TV. The solution enables the flexible management of GET's triple-play services, including voice over IP (VoIP), data and video, while improving efficiencies and increasing average revenue per user (ARPU) through new streamlined workflows.

With over 410,000 subscribers, GET migrated its entire footprint and customer base to Irdeto's customer care and billing platform in Norway in May 2010. The implementation enables GET to deliver flexible, tailored content access for its customers whilst differentiating its customer service, retaining subscribers and strengthening customer loyalty.

According to research analyst group, ABI Research, the worldwide Pay TV market will increase from 672 million to 846 million subscribers (4.7% CAGR) between 2009 and 2014 and cable will remain the largest market. In an increasingly competitive market, it will be the providers that deliver flexible pricing, a variety of options and outstanding customer care that will reduce churn and increase revenue.
