Irdeto contributes to industry conferences and research papers in an effort to share knowledge and stay at the forefront of topics of interest to the industry.

  • Irdeto is a lead author of “Software-Based Protection is Moving to the Mainstream” published in March 2011.

  • Irdeto key organizer for 1st International workshop on Software Security and Protection (SSP) as part of the IEEE International Conference on Intelligence and Security Informatics ISI 2011 Beijing, China.

  • Journal of Software in China - A paper entitled “Research on the Evaluation of Code Obfuscating Transformation has been requested and accepted for publication by the Chinese Journal of Software. Based on research from the NWU-Irdeto Joint Lab.

  • The DAPA position paper, Toward Digital Asset Protection, is published in November/December issue of IEEE Intelligent Systems.*

  • Another NWU-Irdeto joint paper entitled “A Software Protection Framework Based on Thin Virtual Machine using Distorted Encryption” accepted by the 2011 International Conference on Network Computing and Information Security.

  • Keynote speech: White-box Security and its Dynamics, given at 2011 Chinese Conference on Crytographic Algorithm and Chip held in Shanghai, China.

  • Irdeto research was invited and attended a panel on Engaging Industry of CAURA (2011 conference of Canadian Association of University Research Administrators) as a panel speaker.

  • Irdeto research presented at a panel discussion of the ECC Conference and Workshop, Toronto, Canada, June, 2011.

  • Keynote speech: Changing Direction for Cryptographic Research: The White-Box Attack Model on China Crypt Conference 2011, in Changsha of China.

  • The 1st board meeting of DAPA (Digital Asset Protection Association) was held in December 2011 in San Francisco, California. Irdeto is one of the associations founding members.

  • Irdeto Research’s paper entitled “Watermarking for Adaptive Streaming Protocols” presented at the Secure Data Management workshop in September 2011.

  • Irdeto Research and Delft University of Technology presented “I know what you’d like to see! Privacy aspects of social TV” at the Dutch ICT Delta Congress in November 2011.
