Jornadas, Buenos Aires – 18 September 2014 – Irdeto, a world leader in Multiscreen, Media Protection and Revenue Assurance solutions, today announced at Jornadas Internacionales 2014 the appointment of Jesus de Francisco Ramos as Regional Director of Latin America. His new role with Irdeto encompasses strategic planning for key accounts and partnerships, new business development and leading Irdeto’s regional sales and marketing team.

With more than 40 years of experience providing solutions and services to pay TV operators worldwide, Irdeto has experienced significant growth in LATAM over the last decade working with operators such as Une (Colombia), Concordia Video Cable (Argentina) and Cablecom (Mexico). Mr. de Francisco Ramos will continue that momentum and brings more than 15 years of international experience rooted in the telecom b2b industry. Before joining Irdeto, Jesus spent over three years as Head of Sales for Global Accounts at Telefonica where he oversaw regional sales and coordinated multiple cross functional teams in the LATAM region. Prior to that, he was Director of Product Operations at BT Global Services in Latin America managing end-to-end responsibility for the BT portfolio. During this time, Mr. de Francisco Ramos oversaw the transformation of BT LATAM to a business unit of 900 employees and more than EUR $300M of revenue.

Jesus is originally from Span and has been based in Sao Paulo since 2007. He holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Bachelor in Economics from the Autonoma University of Madrid and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
